Steve was a pupil at WCS from 1955-63. He is rated as Europe’s most prominent hormone specialist. He was born in Bedford in 1944 where his mother had been evacuated from wartime London. His father was a GP in the East End of London. He studied medicine at the London Hospital qualifying in 1969.
A professor of medicine, Steve specialism is endocrinology, which is the study of disorders of the glands such as the Thyroid and Pituitary. His pioneering work in this field has led to numerous accolades.
